                   Arrived in Boston in 1640, then a single man.  Apparently, he was the first of the Ingoldsby clan to arrive in America, per "Ingoldsby Genealogy".  He never returned to England. His arrival was documented th the book by James Savage, "Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New Wngland", 1873.  He settled first in York, Maine.  Sone Englesby descendants still live there.
