                   The 6th wife Catherine Parr (her mother was 2nd) who liked
her and raised her. Two siblings were ahead of her for the throne. She outlived
both of them. They were devout Catholics and She was inprisoned once for her
Protestant views. After she assended the throne she began what became the
Church of England. Catholics and Puritans were persecuted. She reigned for
45 years and was one of the greatest in English history. She claimed to live
and die a virgin, thus no husband or heir. Cousin Mary Queen of Scots after a
battle defeat came to England to claim the throne as they considered her
illegitimate since her mothers marriage was invalidated. After 5 years she was
executed.
