                   Bruce R McConkie is his cousin through his Aunt Keziah Jane.
he and his wife are 8th cousins once removed

(Medical):1912 He went to the Mayo clinic leaving his family to fend for a cold winter without him and was operated on for cancer of the bladder and sent home.  A hernia bothered him the rest of his life because they could not afford another surgery. Working a farm he got tetnus.
