After the death her husband Clifford Alma Heaps, 4 Aug 1982, Donna Rae Pearce married Joseph Jay Christensen, 28 Jul 1984, in North Salt Lake, Davis, Utah. She was blessed on 4 Feb 1929, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. OBITUARY Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Donna Rae Pearce Heaps Christensen, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 1999, following a short term battle with cancer. She was born December 24, 1928 in Salt Lake City to Benjamin Noble and Eva Earl Pearce. Married Clifford Alma Heaps on September 11, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. Married Joseph Jay Christensen on July 28, 1984 in North Salt Lake. She was a member LDS Church serving in many positions. Loved music, playing the piano and was blessed with a beautiful voice. Her greatest joy in life was her family, grandchildren, and many friends. She possessed a special gift of making everyone feel like they were her best friend. A special thanks to her nurse, Shar and her aide, Shannon for their loving care. Survied by husband - Jay; mother- Eva Blair(93 yr. old), son - Micheal Kent(Wendy)Heaps; Daughters - Marsha Kaye(Kelly)Benson; Connie Rae Lunak, Karen Lee(Russ)Sagendorf; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step children; eight step-grandchildren; brother Glen(Beverly)Pearce; and sisters - Wanda(Bob)Behunin, Sherry(Verdi)Smith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, 1:00 p.m., Little Cottonwood 14th Ward, 1160 E. vine St.(5900 So.). Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State and Wednesday, 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment - Valley View Memorial Park. She was the light of our Lives and will be dearly missed.
