John HOMER, JR.
Our dearly loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Paul Yarnel Homer, age 85, passed away April 2, 1992, at a local hospital following a heart attack. Born October 16, 1906, in Provo, Utah to John and Matilda Mitchell Homer. Married Della Rogerson November 28, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she passed away June 8, 1952. Later married Frances Johnston in Phoenix, Arizona; she preceded him in death. Employed by the Federal Government in Washington D. C. and Southern California for 27 years. Active member of the Millcreek 1st Ward, LDS Church. He loved life and lived each day to its fullest. Active outdoorsman and loved water-skiing, swimming, horseback riding,traveling, golf and the cabin. He will always be remembered for his musical talent playing the piano by ear and entertaining one and all. He was always happy and busy, bringing joy to all who knew him. He lifted others with his happy, positive personality."After they made Grandpa Homer, they threw away the mold." Survived by daugther, Mrs.Leon H(Mary Jane)Heaps, Kaysville; son, J. Russell(wife Elaine)Homer of Sandy; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who all loved their Grandpa Homer; also a brother, Donald S.(wife, Dorthy)Homer of Salt Lake City. Funeral services Monday, April 6, 12 noon, Larkin Chapel, 260 East Temple, where friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m.,and Monday, one hour prior to services.
