                   Lucile Rogerson Smith  died in Washinton D C on July 11, 1989. Born June 28, 1902 in Beaver, Utah. Daughter of Milton S. Rogerson and Martha Jane Grimshaw Rogerson. Grew up in Cedar City where she was valedictorian of her High School class. Moved to Salt Lake City where she attended the University Of Utah. Affiliated with Delta Gamma. She graduated from the university with a degree in home economics. She married Jesse R. Smith in the Salt Lake Temple, September 12, 1928. They moved to Washington D C the same date. She taught home economics in the District of Columbia schools for nine years. Active in school and church affairs, she presided over the Home & School Association at Ben W. Murch Elementary School. She was the first Counselor in the Washington D C Stake Relief Society for nine years. Was active in DUP and homemakers club.
   During World War II, she frequently hosted for dinner a dozen or more servicemen who were preparing for war in Europe. Survived by husband, Jesse R. Smith and son , Jesse R. Smith,Jr., both Washington DC, a daughter, Ellen Smith Ottosen, Phoenix, Arizona, a brother, M Kenneth Rogerson, Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren. Funeral will be a Yalecrest Ward, 1015 South 1800 East, Salt Lake City, Utah, friday, noon with viewing one hour prior to service at the ward. Interment: Oakley Cemetary. Larkin Mortuary funeral directors.

                   MILTON KENNETH ROGERSON, 87, friend of all passed away peacefully, March 16, 1992 at his mountain home on the Smith Morehouse. Born July 9, 1904 in Beaver, Utah to Milton S.and Martha Jane Grimshaw Rogerson. Married Cleo Waddoups, September 23, 1929, Salt Lake LDS Temple. He spent his business life in sales. Ken owned Rogerson Music in Salt Lake City for many years and ended his business career selling insurance. Anyone associated with Ken knew of his love for the outdoors; hunting, fishing, horsemanship and ranching. His activities at the Pines Ranch brought happiness to friends and family.While attending the University of Utah, he lettered in four sports, golf being his favorite. Ken was proud to have recently shot his age on the golf course. An active member of the LDS Church, serving a mission in Dresden, Germany. All his life he was involved in music; a baritone soloist, director of many choirs and was honored for 53 years of membership in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Survived by wife; dauhters, Mrs. O. Webster(Ann) Adams; Mrs. Robbie(Catherine)Barrus; son, Thomas M. Rogerson; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who along with his wife Cleo, were the love of his life. Funeral services Friday, March 20, 12 noon, Moumnent Park 1st Ward Chapel, 1005 South 2000 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple., Thursday evening 6-8 pm and at the ward Friday, one hour prior to the service. Interment, Oakley City Cemetery in Summit County, Oakley, Utah.
