Sylvia loved the outdoors, flowers and gardening and was a member of the Dayton Corners Church. Here she taught Sunday School, was the church organist and sang. She never remarried and she and the boys lived the farm with her folks. One big event during those years was the purchase of a 1912 Ford Car by Grandfather Hofius.
