I Joseph Flick and Catharine Flick his wife of the Toby in the county and State aforesaid do and have hereby transfered and legally signed over to the said John Lene his heirs and assigne all our right tettle and interest in and to all the property specified in the within deed and forever relinquish all claim to any part of it. signed Joseph and Catharine Flick 1840 census Madison, Armstrong, PA pg 124 3 females between 15-20 5 males 1-20 who is the other female #00063 and 1 male 40-5- 1841-1849 tax list in Clarion Co., PA 1850 census Madison, Clarion, PA 1855 Census Verona, Dane, WS known as fighting Joe First postmaster in Verona also received a land grant on May 22, 1845. flick built a house on this farm on Verona Ave., just west of Main Street, near the former Sharpe House. flick's barn stood near the present Don Stewart residence at 108 West Park Lane. The barn later burned down. A rail fence enclosing the flick farmyard and the Flick stagecoach and its horses were recalled by Verona residents in earlier years. The earliest town meeting minutes in the records are for the meeting of april 7, 1857 held at the home of Town Clerk Joseph Flick who was also an innkeeper and the Verona Postmaster.

William age 70-80 wife 60-70 Was not in the land deed record of 1845 The following maybe her father William H. Wilson died March 30, 1867, John Wilson died Sep 6, 1805 or June 9, 1852 Mother maybe Rebecca died May 5, 1844 wife of John Wilson born Sep 20 Grandfather maybe Samuel Wilson from Centre County he died about 1800 in the Spring of that year his widow and her five sons-Robert, Samuel, William, John and David came out and occupied his improvement. The land was on the banks of Brush Run. Bush run is located North Western part of Monroe township (History of Clarion County) pg 79 in the will of William Wilson lists Catharine as a daughter. The will is on the 8 Feb 1846. Probate records of Catherine Flick Verona lists all her children including Elizabeth wife of Francis F. Smith says she died March 1868 No will 1860 census she is a servant for Hon. Beath states she is 50 years old, but she has a child who is born in 1820. So she may have lied about her age. Cemtery recordsHi Ms. Rail, I looked at the library's cemetery records and found Catherine Flick. She is buried in Sec. D, plot 5. There was no record of Hannah Flick. The record was prepared by the secretary of the Verona Cemetery, Art Cresson. I am including his telephone number for he may more records than what the library has. His number is 608-845-7289.
