Marriage Intentions Filed in the City of Old Town on October 3, 1870 per letter from City Clerk of Old Town dated November 26, 1973. Gives age of Anna S. Stafford as 19, Residence Old Town, Father - Harrison, Mother - Hannah. No marriage record on file, so certified copy not issued. Letter to Saint Joseph's Rectory, 262 South Main Street, Old Town, Maine 04468 yielded the following reply on February 16, 1974: "Dear Mr. Rail, Our marriage records end on September 2, 1870 with the last entry by a Fr. McFaul and then resumes on Aug 1, 1871 with a first entry by Fr. John Duddy. It is entirely possible that your 2nd great grandfather was married here - however it is difficult to prove it. I looked at the record through 1874 and was not able to find a Morrison-Stafford marriage- Sincerely, Fr. Norman Fontaine." A similar letter to the United Methodist Church in Old Town resulted in a reply that they have no records prior to 1875. Other information about Annie, including death information, birth date (which is at two years variance with her stated age on the marriage information given in Old Town Vital Records before 1892) are located on page 35 in"JOHN CHAPLIN (1758-1837) of ROWLEY, MASS. and BRIDGTON,ME. HIS ANCESTRY AND DECENDANTS" compiled by Milton and Leona Chaplin Ellis, and published in 1949. This book also gives her name as Annie Louise Stafford. The marriage record says Anna S. Stafford. Perhaps the script "L." in the original record looked like an "S." or who knows. Further research in progress.

Los Angeles, CA re-enactment of the wedding ceremony Highland Park M.E. church n. Ave 55 and Ash st. Funeral service wer held Oct. 1 for Frank Morrison , 81, at Forest Lawn Memorial Par in the Wee Kirk O' the Heather. Rev. W. Fay Butler of the Highland Park Methodist Chruch officiated followed by Masonic services conducted by the Masonic Board of Relief. Mr. Morrison was born in Old Town Maine, in 1874. He came to Los Angeles in 1925 and has been a resident of Highland Park since that time. He was a member of the Highland Park since that time. He was a member of the Highland Park Methodist Chruch and of the Kenduskeg Masonic Lodge No. 137 of Kenduskeg, Maine. He is survived by two daughters Dr. Hazel Moor and Mrs. Margaret Walker, both of Highland Park, and two sons, Edward F. Morrison of New York and Woodrow D. Morrison of Moffett Field, Calif.; two sisters Mrs. W. F. Anderson of Bangor, Maine, and Mrs. Anna Noblet of Sonoma, Calif., and a brother, Mr. Hector Morrison of Orono, Maine.
