alfred had a bloackmsmith shop and garage in Temecula, they lived alsong side the garage.  This was a popular meeting spot.  This was a musical family  Alfred and his son Vernon both played violin, Freda played the piano and Vera the accordion.  The often played for country dances in the area around Temecula.
The music they made made the towes tingle and the heart to sing moved to CA with his mother in 1904 at the age of 13
