In 1779 the family moved to Livermore, Maine
from Woodstock, Vermont  from Hallowell, to which place they came in a packet,
their entire belongings were conveyed to Leeds in a hand cart

History of Livermore pg 80-81
says she came with seven children, from Duxbury, Mass in 1779 and was the second family to settle in Livermore, the children, nearly grown up, making their first "pitch' on the Hunton farm in East Livermore, at what was then the head of boat navigation on the Androscoggin.  After remaining her a few weeks, they removed and again made a"pitch". on the farm now owned by John M. Hinds in Livermore.    On this lot no. 33 the family lived until 1785.    The Carver family consisted of the mother, then a widow, but whos two husbands must have borne the name of Carver, for the oldest son, William, was half-borther to the other children.
