William Chaplin accompanied his parent to New Brunswick as a child, and he too
is said to have remained behind when they returned to Maine, but as noted
previously, the census of 1851 states that he entered New Brunswick in June,
1810
It was evidently recorded in a Bible owned by Robert M. Chaplin that William
married Helen Walsh in 1810.  Nop marriage record has been located, but he date
is questionable for several reasons, one of which is that their first child was
not born until 1814.  Several other dates which may have been obtained from the
Robert M. Chaplin Bible by Dr. and Mrs. Ellis would also seem to be incorrect.
In 1815, William purchased Lot R at Cassilis from Donald Ross and in so doing
established the Chaplin name there for more than 125 years.  He was a
prosperous farmer and lumberman and a man who was very active in the community.
For many years he was a Surveyor of Lumber, and he was also at times an
Overseer of the Poor, a Trustee of Schools, and a Grand juror.
According to a tombstone in the Catholic Cemetery at Red Bank, William died on
August 13, 1858, at age 67, and his wife Helen Walsh on Oct 1, 1876 at age 89.

Conversation with Hazel Morrison says Mary Ann Chaplin born in Cork, Ireland.

IGI record spells Mary Ann Chaplin's name as Welch rather than Walsh.  "Old
North Esk" records spelled it Walsh. I have left Walsh pending further
verification.  It is however the same person, so I used the LDS Ordinance data.
IGI also shows birthdate 13 Jun 1822 as opposed to 15 Jun 1822.

1870 Census lists her as Anna - Living in Orono, Penobscot County, Maine

1900 census Orono, Penobscot, Maine according to 1900 census she had 2 children 1 living also  born in Jun 1826 came to us 1858
