NAME: Perrenton aka Purrenton War of 1812 pension application w.o. # 37414 w.c. 3 27097. This information was found in the book "Arkansas Pensioners 1818-1900." by Payne. Purrington and Charlotte resided in South Carolina until 1834. From there, they went to Kemper county, Mississippi, until about 1850, then to Hempstead County, Arkansas. Was a soldier, died in Hempstead County May 21, 1866. Widow residing in Nevada County in 1871, she stated that she did not move, rather, the new county was formed around her. Godfrey Bright, age 76 in 1879, stated that he had known Charlotte Bright since her marriage ( 65 years ).
