I'm have researched a number of my families in WV, including all branches ofthe Kesler, Campbell, Carte and Norman families.I'm a descendant of Peter Kesler of Hesse Darmstadt, Germany who marriedCatherine Sheets.The Peter Kesler farm in Greenbrier County is located west of Lewisburg onAlma Rd. across from the beautiful Tuckwiller log home. Peter left a ratherlengthy and fascinating Last Will in Testament on file at the GreenbrierCounty Courthouse in Lewisburg. The location of his and Catherine'sgravesites is thought to be the old Richlands Presbyterian Church Cemetery,which is on top of a hill across from where the old church once resided.Although there are no markers there containing their names, Peter's eightyear old grandson, Michael Kesler, has a marked gravesite in this cemetery.Michael's father, Jacob Kesler, having 13 children, lived in a huge homenext to his father's on Alma Rd. He and wife, Elizabeth Funk, later movedfrom Greenbrier County to Fayette County, WV. on the Sunday Road in Clifty,WV, which is now called Hico, WV. Jacob and several generations of hisdescendants, including his 12 children, are buried in the KeslerPresbyterian Church Cemetery on top of Dogwood Mountain located on theSunday Road near his farm. There's a Kesler Reunion held at the KeslerPresbyterian Church every September for Jacob Kesler's descendants.Note: I've written this for you, hoping you can post this information ontothe Kesler tree on RootsWeb, particularly the burial sites, farm locations,and church names.
