Military: Benjamin Stites and Jesse Hand were comissioned on 25 Nov 1777 to
       purchase army blankets for the revolutionary troops. Stevens p. 190
Profession: According to Aaron Leaming: " The 3rd of May 1777 at a training
Thomas Godfrey having his gun charged with stones, by accident, shot James
Parker in the leg.  The bone was much splintered and shattered and it was
judged necessary to amputate it.  For this purpose Dr. Otto was sent for from
Gloucester Co., The 12th day of May afternoon the Amputation was preformed by
Dr, Otto assisted by Dr, McGinis of Philadelphia, Dr. Hunt and Dr. Benjamin
Stites. the 17th of May he died. ( Stevens p. 188)
