Hand written notes by Mark McGarry,  of Niagra Falls, record that Mary Coyle's father was Irish and her mother was Scottish and that she arrived in Lanark Township in 1820.

                   Kent McGarry has personal knowledge that Peter and his brother  Henry farmed and ranched together up until Peter's death, at Independence, Idaho.  Tradition has it that Peter was on his way from the mining area of Hailey Idaho to the gold mines of Alaska with a string of pack animals when they went over a ledge somewhere in Montana and were lost.  Peter made his way to Butte Montana where he gambled to make his stake back.  While there he received word that his brother Peter had settled west of Rexburg , Idaho and was looking for him, the youngest of the family.  Henry rode down to see his brother and was convinced to stay and settle.
