Notes:
From the Archdiocese of Boston letter written by Judy Wight, genealogist. At Edward's baptism the sponsors were Michael Follard and Winy Donovan ( the mother's sister). The genealogist mentions, "Michael Follard Anne's husband. The record spelled Coyne as coin. My grandmother was Mary Molloy and I see the next entry the spelled her name as Moloy.

Death Registered in the City of Lowell..no year mentioned, but said Edward was 32 which would make the date of the year 1902 according to his birthdate. The certificate is dated 1906 also mentioned was that Edward was single. His profession was a carpenter.

In an article from the Lowell Courier-Citzen, Tuesday, 13 Nov 1906 it mentions Edward fell after a ladder collapsed from a staging at the Lawrence Manufacturing Company. (This is the same company where his father was employed) His back hit a bench with great force. He died at 5:30Am at the Lowell General hospital of a broken spine, internal injuries and hemorrhage of the lungs. It mentions also that he leaves his parents and three sisters, Lilly, Winnie and Catherine and one brother, George. The article goes on to say he was of sunny disposition and was well liked by all who knew him, and he was a constant attendant at St. Patrick's Church. The article states: "The great crowd that visited the house of mourning in third ave prior to the funeral to pay a final tribute of respect to the deceased and the large representation at the funeral services gave evidence of the general esteem in which the deceased was held." Ushers at the house and church were Wm. McDermott, Joseph McGuire, and John Kennedy. the bearers were Thos. McDermott, James Holden, Edward Donovan, Edward Commerford, Patrick Brown and George Campbell.

17 March 2003 E-mail from Judy Wight, genealogist giving birth dates from Archdioces of Boston. Sponsors were Thomas McDermott (probably a brother of Michael and Catherine Coyne's mother, Winifred McDermott. and Katherine Flynn.

Date of birth of 25 Nov 1875 from City of Lowell Index to Births 1860-1879 (Copy in filing cabinet)
In the above record her name is recorded as Winnerford. She is referred to as Winnie V. in a report from the Lowell Sun of 18 Apr 1909 announcing her father, Michael G. Coyne's death. I don't know what the "V" stands for.
