                   Wellesley Maple Leaf: Thursday,Jan.3,1901:
"It is our sad duty to record the death of Mr. Francis A. Baker father of Mr. F. Baker of this village.  Deceased lived at Dorking but about four weeks ago it was found necessary to remove him to the home of his son in Linwood.  Since that time, in spite of all that could be done, he gradually sank until Thursday evening when the last spark of life took its departure.  Deceased was eighty-nine years eight months and thirteen days old.  His partner in life preceded him to the great beyond about three years ago.  Internment took place on Saturday to the Anglican Church at Millbank."          {if calculation correct, born 21 Apr 1811}

RESEARCH NOTES:
    On the 1881 Canadian Census each household member was required to report their ethnic origin. Francis Baker stated that he was of French origin. The word "Baker" in French is "Boulanger", a common surname in the province of Quebec. So it is a possibility that BOULANGER is Francis' father's surname.
