    Col. George MITCHELL

NOTE:
    Col. George MITCHELL was murdered on 12 August 1791 by Robert W. Snead. At the time of his death he had eight children, although the histories state that he had twelve children total. Colonel Mitchell also served as a State Representative and a State Senator in the North Carolina Legislature.
