Immigration: aboard the ship "Diligent," John Martin, master. Sailed from Ipswich, Suffolk, England to Boston Harbor. The ship arrived 10 Aug 1641, not 10 Aug 1638, as is often listed. In "The Planters of the Commonwealth," by Charles E. Banks, Pub. Houghton Mifflin, 1930, pp. 191-194), he gives the date as 10 August 1638. However, William's last two children, twins Mary and Elizabeth, were christened 10 January 1639/40 in Morton Parish (Church of England), near Bourne, Lincolnshire, England. Mary was on the ship's list, but Elizabeth was not, meaning she must have sailed at a later time.
