This ancestor was once thought to be Martha Ellen Beaumont, born at Heath in
1762. However, since another Martha Beaumont has been found, who was born at
Almondbury, where the marriage to Jonathan Midgley took place and where all of
their children were born, it is apparent that this second Martha is our
ancestor. We have therefore changed the ancestral line to follow this Martha
Beaumont of Almondbury.
