It indicates that he was born in Virginia Edmond was the Bondsman for the marriage of his brother Joseph to Mary (Polly) Hickman, in Surry County, NC in 1830. Was on the 1836 Tax List in Wm. Cox District at Cadles Creek, Surry Co. NC. He moved his family to Buchanan County, Missouri about 1840 Biographical Album of Riley Co., KS, under article about Samuel Montgomery, said Edmund was a native of North Carolina.
She was born in Virginia, but lived and married in Surry County, NC. Lived there until 1840 when she went with her husband and family to Buchanan County, Missouri. She survived her husband for 24 years and never remarried. She was about 81 when she died at the home of her son Columbus M. Parker. In the 1880 U.S. Census, she was age 77, and they lived in Brown County, Kansas.

Birth & Death: Obituary of Frances E. Parker, age 74, At Rest "Francis E. Parker was born in Surry County, N.C., Jan. 21 1832, and lived there until the age of nine years, when she moved with her parents to Buchanan County, Missouri. At the age of 19, she was united in marriage to Laris Olson. To this union five children were born, three of which survive her. They are as follows: Edmund, Lewis and Columbus Olson, who now reside in Oklahoma. In 1863 Mrs. Olson was united in marriage to Andrew Anderson. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive their mother. They are as follows: Mrs. Emma White, John A. Anderson, Mrs. Docia Olson, Lafayette R. and Alfred F. Anderson. At the age of 13 years, the deceased united with the Baptist church, but after coming to Kansas, she joined the M.E. church at Stockdale. After an illness of five days, Mrs. Anderson died at 5 O'clock Saturday evening, Jan. 27 1906. Funeral services held at M.E. Church Monday at 10 o'clock and interment made in the Randolph cemetary. Services conducted by Rev. Knipe of Garrison. The deceased leaves a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her loss." Obituary taken from the Randolph Enterprise, Feb 1, 1906. Frnaces was described as a noble woman and loved by all who knew her. She died at age 74.
Birth fron article in "Portrait and Biographical Album of Washington, Clay and Riley County, Kansas," published by Chapman Brothers, 1890, p. 439. That article says 1834. Two different obituaries say that her birth year was 1833. Information was sent by Doris Taylor, 301-90 Abbott St., Pentieton, BC, V2A7W8, Canada, 19 Jul 1987. She had thirteen children, ll of which survived her. Joined the Baptist Church in her early childhood. Died at age 76 years, 5 months, 14 days. Well known by the old settlers as a woman of forceful character who left her impression on the character of the community. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Washburn, near Keats, Kansas. Age 4 in 1850 Census of Buchanan County Missouri, Center Township. He went west to Brown County, Kansas and found on the 1880 Census, then Spokane, Washington and in 1901 moved to Copeland, Idaho, near Thomas Montgomery. His mother was living with them in 1880 U.S. Census of Brown County, Kansas.
