                   He was a lather by trade.  Wife died early leaving him to raise thechildren.
He used to make candy and offered it to us when we were kids.  Our favorite was
a peppermint kind.  He also had a kind that was bitter and tasted awful to us.
Unfortunately, he always had a lot of that kind on hand.  He was very
industrious, had a large garden, always was puttering around or keeping himself
busy.

                   Married Marguerite Mary Cangi on 26 Nov. 1937.  Marguerite died in Duluth, St.

Charles's 2nd marriage was to Eileen Leon Peterson Strand on 4 Feb.1977.
Eileen's previous husband had died.
Jeannie was killed after stepping off a bus into the path of an oncoming car.
She was almost 6 months pregnant with a baby boy.  They both died, in Nov.
l964. She had a little girl who was orphaned shortly thereafter, when her father was sent to
Viet Nam and killed.

Chuck died from emphezema of the lungs.  He started smoking at a young age.  He also was bothered by sinus headaches during his life.
His service took place at the Faith Lutheran Church at 1 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, 1988 with the Rev. Lyle W.A. Peterson officiating.  Arrangements by Johnson Mortuary, 514 East 3rd Street, Duluth, Minnesota 55805

                   He married Lucille Harriette Comfort on 12 Sep 1942. They divorced on.
He had twins, Rodney and Roger by Lucille and also raised her one
son Danny.  Lucille also had another son Eddie, older than Danny.
His 2nd marriage was to Helen Emily Aro on 2 June l961.  He had two sons by
Helen.
Helen  was born 23 Feb. 1920 and died Dec. 1990 in Alaska.
