Benny Albin STUBERG

                   Benny married a woman whose last name was Livingston.  He dropped Stuberg and
took her surname as his.  He was adopted out after his mother died.
The 1900 census of Elk Lake, Grant, Minnesota; ED 55, sheet number 5 , taken in June shows him living with a Martha M Sether (1880 census spellling Sethnor) (Sether 1900 spelling) (MN death index spelling Sethrey).  Her husband James had died and there are two daughters, Selma and Emeline M  and a farm laborer Nils Fulstad living in the same house as Benj Stuberg.  Martha's husband had a farm and she kept it going. Martha died 3 Jul 1909 in Grant County, Minnesota.  State File Number 004225; Record 33728.
The 1910 census Bennie is a hiredman living with another farmer.  Elk Lake, Grant, MN; ED 24, sheet 1B, taken on the 16th day of April 1910.
The 1920 census finds Benjamin in Washington, Washington, D.C. and mrried to a Ray from Kentucky.  He is a secretary for a Congressmen and is 26 years old.  ED 246, Sheet 12 A; taken the 11 January 1920.
The 1930 census says he was a supervisor in the Textile Industry.  His name has been changed to Livingston.    They have a son Robert L. who is 5 and born in New York.  They are living in White Plains, Westchester, New York.  He is designated as Benn A. and his wife as M. Rae.  ED 60-267, sheet 14B.
