ca. 96137    Joseph and his wife were not included in the Flushing census of 1698 and no record has been found to show where they were at the time. In later life he lived on whitestone Pt. directly west of his younger brother William, presumably on land formerly belonging to their father John.  Joseph was a good Quaker.  His will ex. 3 Jan 1753 remembers sons Samuel, John, Thomas and James, Grandson Samuel Thorne, grandchildren Thomas nd Mary, children of son Joseph (desceased).  and Edward,Wm.,Joseph, and Catherine(children of son Wm. dec. His wife, Martha had already died.
