He signed a quit claim deed to his brother Wm. in 1797 when he was a resident in Lanesboro,By Jan. 1799, he was in New Haven Vt. by Jan 1803,he was in Berkshire,Vt. known as Capt.Andrew,he served in the war of 1812 as a 2nd Lieut
in Capt. James Taylors Co. 30th Reg.(Vermont state roster of sold. in the war of 1812.) The site of his grave was unknown until C. W. found it in Abbotsford Que. Info. from Bob Robblee Site 20 Box 2 RR 3,Innisfail,AB, CanadaT4G IT8

[His wife was Desire, 1743-1824] An Andrew Barton come to Enosburg, VT. from Charlotte, Vt. He married Susan Baker of Lanesborough, MA. They had 9 children, all of whom died except E.B. and Caleb W. both from Enosburg. I have have been unable to locate a headstone for Sally in Berkshire, VT. or any other nearby towns.

He appears in the VT. Census for Franklin in 1830, 1840, and 1850. Census re- cords indicate his children were born in Vermont, but only Martha's is recoded He enlisted twice in the War of 1812. The first time, in 1813, he was rejected for service as he was "under age and undersize". He applied for a penson in 1871. By then, he was living in Waterville, Allamaker Co. Iowa. In 1880, he was living with his daughter and son-in-law, John Kellogg in Enosburg. An H.A. Rublee gave the land for a new school to the town of Enosburg in 1820. [Geraw, 1985, page 45]
