                      John Baker a native of Pa. lived in Westchester Co.N.Y. was a blacksmith,was lame.  Joined James Delancys 1776 and settled at Remsheg,where John Robblee settled.
Johns cousin William married  Keturah Baker dau. of Francis Baker and wife Susannah.  She had a brother Eleazor.  This family lived in the same area as our Robblees. Is there a connection between Susannah m. John and Keturah m. william?  Are they sisters or cousins?

His will was proved on           1828. In it he mentions property he has an interest in in the Ramsheq Valley in NS. which he has a part interest in due to his father, John's, estate. I believe this was done and resolved by the year 1832. At this time, his older brother Thomas sells his share of the same property to a William Tuttle, married to Olive Roblee Peers whom was the dau- ghter of his older sister, Hannah. Spelled his name in his will with 1 b. Am trying to track his family where I can with this name difference.

There are descendents living in the Cumberland area of Nova Scotia and I found about 1500 of them in the ancestral file. I have often speculated that there was an active interchange between Wallace and Tryon. The History of Crapaud, [PEI] mentions this as a fact and that the 2 areas seemed to be twinned from about 1820. Her name is short 1 b in the record and one of her descendents married a lass with 2 b's in her name.
