He spent most of his childhood years in Enosburg Falls, VT. He became a well- known national trotting horse race official in the US and Canada. He was race secretary of the Rutland, Vt. Fair for 30 years. He was a racetrack official at the Green Mountain Park in Pownal, Vt. from its opening until he retired in 1971. He owned and operated dairy farms in Berkshire, Wallingford and Pitts- ford for many years.
