One record shows the place of birth as St. Clair County, Missouri, and on that record is a hand wiitten note that says, "should read Osage Co.?"
His obituary says he died from a heart attack while attending the Illinois State Fair in Marion. His obit is in Pioneer Heritage, p. 22. It also makes note of the fact that he was 'prominent in Republican politics in the conty and at different times was a special road district commissioner and deputy sheriff. In Osceola, he serves as street commissioner, city alderman and city marshall."
The record says she died in Tulsa, "while visiting there".
A copy of this person's obituary is found in Pioneer Heritage, p. 23.
I now believe this person's name to actually be Barton Jasper Hutton. (8/25/05)
