                   She is the second wife of Joshua Alfred Dean II.  They married in 1888.  The record is confusing in that his first wife, Mary A. (maiden name unknown) died in 1891, at the age of 24.  Either there was a divorce that preceded this second marriage, or the death date of his first wife is incorrect.

                   From a letter  dated July 31, 1979, from Carl N. Helmick of 6805 Yellowstone Drive, Riverside, CA, I was given the information on all of the children of Joshua Alfred Dean II.  Mr. Helmick says Joshua Alfred Dean II was his uncle.

Gordon was said to be single and a saddlemaker, nd was residing in Oklahoma in 1979. One source shows hi birthdate as June 25.

                   One source says LaVaughn died at 4 years of age from drinking water out of a dipper that had been used to mix rat poison.  Her twin sister, LaFern was very sick but the doctors were able to save her.
