NAME: Lakey/Hayes NOTE: Possible death place.
When Leo was born, he and his family lived in a small town by the name Mangum. This town is located just south of the north fork of the Red River. Mangum was the county seat of Greer county, Texas. March 16, 1896 the Supreme Court awarded this area to Indian Territory in present day Oklahoma. Oklahoma became a state in 1907.
He married Lucinda Lakey 1865 at Greer, Texas . Lucinda Lakey was born at Missouri 29 Jan 1846 daughter of Jacob Lakey and Mary J. Pilkington .
