                   Adam and Gertrude and eight of their children emigrated from Germany through the port of LeHavre on the ship Stormaway, arriving in the U.S. port of New York on July 8, 1854.  Their youngest daughter Anna Marie died sometime between then and 1857 when she no longer appears in the family in the 1857 Census.
