                   SHORT HISTORY:  Born, raised and educated through the 8th grade in Park Valley, Utah. Attended high school in Brigham City, UT. Was sickley as a child suffering such deseases as Typhoid Fever, Scarlet Fever, St. Vitus Dance, kidney problems, and Rhumatic Fever which left her with a weakened heart. She met Archie at a party or dance. He lived 32 miles away but this was not too far for him to come courting.  After marriage she moved to the Sinks, about 5 miles west of Snowville, UT and lived there until their retirement in 1969. The ranch was first owned by Arch's parents but later was purched. Many acres of land and grazing rights were purchased making the ranch one of the largest in the area (over 800 head of cattle). In addition there were milk cows, chickens and hogs (about 200). There were always hired men around. The family was very community minded and had many dear and trusted friends. Jerry, their son, became a partner in the business for a few years. After retirement they bought a house in Brigham City, UT and it is here that Menah died of heart failure. She was ill before leaving the ranch and did not have good health thereafter. Menah was very loving person with a kind disposition and gentle voice and gave many hours of compassionate service.

CHURCH SERVICE:  The whole family were very active in the LDS Church and served in most of the callings for men and women. Jerry went on a mission to England where he met his future bride. Genealogy and temple work took much of their time after retirement. Arch served on many boards including a bank, Taylor Grazing and livestock asociations.
