(8th Great-grandfather of Kelsey Eli zabeth Denkers) JOHN COURTS III served as a member of the Lower House of the General Assembly in 1722 un til 1747. On October 1, 1700, JOHN COURTS III was granted a 700 acre tract of land known as Clea n Drinking on the west side of Rock Creek in Charles County, Maryland. In his will, Colonel J OHN COURTS III left Clean Drinking to his son, John Courts who sold it to Charles Jones, th e husband of Elizabeth Courts, daughterof JOHN COURTS III. In 1750, Charles Jones built th e home known as the Clean Drinking Manor. Clean Drinking was subsequently in Prince Georges County, Maryland. From 1748 until 177 6 it was located in Frederick County, Maryland. Since 1776 it has been in Montgomery County , Maryland.
