When WILLIAM BENTON WOFFORD was but a tiny lad, it was discovered that he was missing fr om the rest of the family. They were all, naturally very concerned and distressed upon learni ng of this. Since they lived in all Cherokee Indian Territory, their first thought was that h e had been kidnapped by theIndians. Especially since he was the first white child to have be en born in this section of the country. Finally up walked the Indian Chief with a big basket on his arm.
