ZACHARY (Zachrias) was born in England and immigrate d during or before 1657 to Charles Co., Maryland.  ZACHARY WADE (9th Great-grandfather of Kelsey Elizabeth Denkers) immigrated from England to K ent County, Maryland before April 1647, married Mary Hatton, and moved to Charles County, Mar yland, by 1661. Descendants and relativeslived in Maryland, South Carolina, Georgia and else where.  INFORMATION FROM LDS FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY IN SLC:  ZACHARY WADE (sometimes referred to as ZACHARIAS WADE) came as an immigrant to Maryland, wa s Executor and presumably the younger brother of Dr. John Wade, Brother of Wm. Wade, Cecil, W arwickshire, England. (Ref.:LAND PATENTS: Hall of Records, Annapolis, Maryland)  ZACHARY WADE was owner of extensive lands in the Province of Maryland--in Charles, Talbot, Prince Georges, and other counties. He first appeared on record as chosen to represent New Town , Charles County, at the first Assembly of Maryland, held at St. Leonard's Creek, April 7-20 , 1657. Again he held public office, from 1662 until his death in 1677, as one of the "Gentle men Justices" or Commissioner of Peace of Charles County. He married Mary Hatton (died 1678) , daughter of Richard and Margaret Hatton.  Lands held by ZACHARY included 400 acres called "WADE'SPOINT" in Talbot County on the Easter n Shore of Maryland, sold to William Leeds in 1665, At his death, he owned various parcels o f land totaling close to 3,000 acres as listed in his will.  There is a monument in Washington D.C. on 15th Street between Constitution Avenue and East St reet, erected by the NationalDaughters of American Colonists, April 25, 1936, "To the origin al patentees prior to 1700 whose land grants embrace the site of the Federal City." The nam eof ZACHARY WADE is among those listed, followed by the date, "1670."  Will ofZACHARY WADE (1627-1677) CHARLES COUNTY WILL BOOK 9, P.16:  ZACHARY WADE, CHARLES COUNTY., MD.             5 March 1677-25 May 1677  "To eldest son, Richard and heirs, 550 acres Linne and Linnes Enlargement; 400 acres Wadeso n and Wadesons Enlargement, and half of a 1050-acre tract called Locust Thicket being landbo ught by testator and brother Randolph Hanson, from Thomas Brooks. Also landat the head of Pi scataway Creek.  To son, Robert and heirs, 600 acres, part ofMarket Overton; 500 acres Forest Green; 350 acre s Stony Harbour, on Piscataway Creek, and 200 acres, part of Friendship.  To daughter, Theodosia Stone, landon the eastern branch of Piscataway Creek taken up by test ator and brother, Luke Gardner. Also the remainder of Market Overton, aforesaid.  To Mary Hanson,personalty.  To three children aforesaid, residue of estate; should any die without issue, survivor or sur vivors to inherit deceased's portion. In event of death of all children without issue, estat e to be divided between brother-in-law, Randolph Hanson's sons and William Hatton's sons."  Executors: Brother Randolph (Randall) Hanson, William Hatton.  ZACHARY WADE devised to his son, ZacharyWade the following tracts: 500 acres called Linnes , 400 acres Wadeson, and half of a tract of Locust Point, a tract of 1060 acres bought with h is brother-in-law, Randolph Hanson.  References in will to following lands: Piscataway Creek (in first paragraph) must be the land called WADE'S ADVENTURE. Piscataway Creek (for Theodosia Stone) must be a half of 780 acres called Good Luck or Brother's Purchase . The "remainder" referred to for Theodosia Stone would amount to600 acres; Market Overton w as 1200 acres, and 600 acres were left to Robert,above.                    ROBERT WADE, younger surviving son of ZACHARY WADE (d. 1713), Prince Georges County, Maryland , inherited from his father 1650 acres in Prince Georges County,Maryland, made up on half o f Market Overton, 600 acres; Forest Green, parts of Stony Harbour and Friendship, the latte r being his place of residence.  ROBERT married Elizabeth Sprigg, daughter of Thomas and Elinor Nuthall Sprigg. He was a capta in of cavalry in Piscataway Parish, Prince Georges County, from 1694to 1697.  Elizabeth Sprigg Wade was executrix of her husband's will. Between Feb. 2 and Oct 28, 1714, s ometime before ROBERT's estate was finally settled, she married William Penson (1679-1740).  ROBERT WADE is one of the Honor Ancestors of Colonial Dames.  WILL: Prince Georges County, Maryland, Will Book 1, page72. "ROBERT WADE, Prince Georges Co., Md., Gentleman 4 Dec 1713-2 Feb 1713/4"To eldest son, Zachary Wade, part of Stony Harbour on north side and 100 acreson the lowe r end of south side, ye whole being 700 acres to him and heirs.  To son Robert Wade balance o f tract of land called Stony Harbour, lying on thesouth side. To sons Nehemiah and Zephaniah, land called Market Overton, lying on Piscataway in Prince Geo rges Co., 600 acres to be divided between them and if either die before they are 21 years, th e survivor to inherit the land.  To daughter Eleanor Magruder and Ann Wade, land called Forest Green on the Mattawoman Creek a djacent the land of John and Mary Clark and now in possession of Mr.George Dent.
