Johann Herman OTTERBACH
REFN674 Johann Herman Otterbach, better known as just Herman, was a "Fuhrmann"(carrier or carter), w ho transported and traded goods. They were the most important middle-men for the export of t he iron products of Nassau-Siegen. AfterHerman Otterbach, his wife, and two sons emigrate d to Virginia in 1714, theyapparently all died soon, perhaps before 1719, before the 1714 gr oup moved toGermantown. Herman married Elizabeth Heimbach at Siegen on 11 August 1685. Eli zabeth, born in 1662, was the daughter of Philipp Heimbach and Maria Catherina Fischbach of S eelbach.
