Howdeshell cemetery located at Lincoln County, Missouri, T51N, R1E, Sec.31. This is between Wilson Road and State Hwy B, about a mile east of N Hwy 61, between Silex and Elsbery Missouri. This cemetery was transcrived in 1980 and published in Vol 3 of a series entitled "Gone But Not Forgotten"
Joseph spent the better part of his life in southern Pike County, Missouri with the last eight or nine years being spent in the town of Annada. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Barnes during the year that the Civil War broke out. He was a member of the Christian Church. Owned a store at Smith's mill, now Sledd, Mo., then became a farmer. He married Elizabeth Baxter 12 Aug 1826 at Ralls, Missouri . Elizabeth Baxter was born at of Missouri Abt 1809 .
