1. The origin seems to be in Ebersbach by Dobeln, Saxony, a small village of about 500 (mostly farmers) about two miles from Dobeln.   In an unpubiixhed document in 1384 of Dobeln is Ebersbach.  From here the family divides in Saxony and Prussia, later to America.
3. The church records begin in the year 1548.  The first entries are rather scanty and imperfact.  The original was made by Friedrich Herman Pfütze - Hermsdorfer St., 11, Dresdan, Germany in 1920. This begins when two brothers went from Ebersbach to Thumlitz, Saxony.
