                   Obituary, Salt Lake Tribune, March 7, 1972:  John Mather, 84, 1046 Millbert Ave., died of a heart ailment March 6 at home.  Born Sept. 23, 1887, Smithfield, Cache County, to Thomas E. and Mary Ann Cantwell Mather.  Married Leone Irene Robinson, April 5, 1911, Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died Oct 6, 1971.  Founder, owner, Mather Eggs Co., retired Gardener.  Served LDS Southern States Mission, 1908-10.  Member Sons of Utah Pioneers.  Survivors sons, daughters, J. Lynden, Graham "G. R.", Mrs. J. Byron (June) Engar, Mrs. Ralph W. (Janice) Moffat, all Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Zina M. Sorensen, Salt Lake City.  Funeral Thursday noon, Grant 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 3400-11th East.  Friends call 260 E. South Temple, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., Thursday at ward chapel after 10:30 a.m.  Burial Sunset Lawn Mausoleum.
