Obituary: EDELSTEIN -- Lucile May Streitmatter, 81, formerly of Edelstein died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 1993, at St. Joseph's Home in Lacon, where she had lived for the past five years.
Born April 8, 1912, in Peoria to John and Sarah Grundy Hargadine, she married Lester Streitmatter in Lacon. He died Oct. 11, 1975. One sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. of Rome; two daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Feurer of Lacon and Mrs. Edward (Susan) Mielke of Peoria; two sisters, Ethel Hargadine of Toulon and Elma Langloss of Henry; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Edelstein Congregational Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Prospect Cemetery near Dunlap. The Rev. Gladys Herzog will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hammitt Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.
