This Charles is a son of Nelson Swiger and Nancy Gochenour.
It is my belief that Nelson is a son of Alexander and Margaret.......
I found Nelson and Nancy in the Illinois Marriage Index married in Henry Co., IL 3 February 1874.
I then found them in the 1880 census Vernon Twp., Humboldt Co., Iowa (ED 128, Sht 20), with children: Edith, Charles, and Susan, and a boarder who I assume is Nancy's brother Joseph Gochenour.
I then found Nelson in the 1900 census Vernon Twp., Humboldt Co., Iowa (ED 132, Sht 14A) as a widower, with a daughter Clara..

Witnesses at Clark and Christina's wedding: are Nelson and Nancy Swiger  So I am assuming that the marriage below is possibly the witnesses at the wedding.. Nelson is also a son of Margaret Hargadine and Alexander Hamilton Swiger..  I will send for this record also
