Obituary: PEORIA -- Zella M. Bliss Hargadine, 90, of 3010 Amelia Drive, Marianna, Fla., formerly of Peoria and rural Stark County, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 1997, at her daughter's home in Marianna.
Born July 20, 1907, in Princeville to Fred C. and Bernice Aby Bliss, she married Edgar C. Hargadine on Aug. 25, 1929, in Lacon. He died Dec. 18, 1979, in Marianna. She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth McCord of Peoria and Louise Jones of Marianna, Fla.; three sons, William of Dellwood, Fla., James of Milwaukee and John of Cabool, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John F. Bliss of Bloomington; and one niece.
She taught at Sipp School and later was the head cashier at the Hotel Pere Marquette. She also had been assistant manager of the Voyager Inn. She retired as assistant manager of the Holiday Inn in East Peoria.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements. memorials may be made to any charity.

Obituary: PRINCEVILLE -- Mildred Bliss Belski, 86, of 104 W. High died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 1995, at her residence.
She was born July 30, 1908, in Princeville to Fred C. and Bernice Aby Bliss.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Andy (Vicki) Kosirog of Minier; one half brother, John Bliss of Bloomington; one sister, Zella Hargadine of Marianna, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
She attended Illinois State Normal University and graduated with honors from Bradley University.
She taught grade school in the Princeville area for 42 years, retiring in 1972. She also was Peoria County Rural School Supervisor.
She performed as "Flossie Fry" on radio at WLS Barndance in Chicago and WMBD Radio in Peoria.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Nu Chapter, and Retired Teachers Association.
She was a board member of Punkin Patch Nursery School in Princeville.
Private graveside services will be Thursday at Princeville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Akron-Princeville Ambulance or the Children's Book Department of the Lillie M. Evans Library in Princeville.

Hello,
Thank you, both of you, for taking the time to write me.  I will contact Vicki right away and hopefully my friend and her can make contact.  My friend, Jane, has a beautiful photo of Mildred Bliss when she was a young girl and Jane is wanting to give it to a family member of Mildred's.  They are not related as far as I can tell.  Jane's mother use to play with Mildred when they were children and she would go to visit the Moffett family in Peoria County, Illinois.   Thank you so very much.   Athna-May
