had no children from either marriage

Note:  Was a favorite aunt to JTC until age 28 when communication stopped.
He found her again when his father died intestate.  She was still living and so
was her father, Levi in 1976. Re-established relationship until her death in
1983.

1923:  Graduated Long Pine High School, IA.

NOTE:  Owned home at 704 N. 33 st. purchased 12/7/1965 for $6800.00.  No
mortgage.

Mockbee - Clifton 1923
Ernest Mockbee and Miss Hazel Clifton, both of this city were married Friday, August 17, at Council Bluffs, Ia.  Miss Clifton is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. L. T. Clifton and is a popular and accomplished young lady and was graduate with the class of 1923 from Long Pine high school.  Mr. Mockbee is a machinist's helper at the round house.  Mrs. Mockbee is now visiting in Missouri while Mr. Mockbee has returned to this city to resume his duties.  Their plans are not announced, but it is expected they will make their home here.  The Journal extends congratulations.
