MRS. HARGADINE PEORIA DIETITIAN, DIES AT AGE 72
Mrs. Sarah May Hargadine, 72, of 603 Voris St., wife of the late John C. Hargadine, died at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday at her home.  She had lived in Peoria 22 years.
Born at Alta, Dec. 17, 1886, she was a daughter of Phoenix and Margaret Goldsborgh Grundy.  She was married here Jan. 11, 1908 to Mr. Hargadine, who died in Peoria Jan. 27, 1934.  She was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church at Dunlap and until last March was employed for several years as dietitian at the Peoria Municipal Tuberculosis Sanitarium.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Ruse and Miss Ethel Hargadine of Wyoming, Ill., Mrs. Lucile Streitmatter of Edelstein and Mrs. Elma Langloss of Henry; three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Staples of Princeville, Mrs. Rebecca Sammis and Mrs. Luella Brouwers of Peoria:  six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  A brother died earlier.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wilton Mortuary, 2101 N. Knoxville Ave., by the Rev. E. L. Fernandes of Arcadia Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p. m. Thursday at the mortuary.  Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery at Dunlap.

Obituary: EDELSTEIN -- Lucile May Streitmatter, 81, formerly of Edelstein died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 1993, at St. Joseph's Home in Lacon, where she had lived for the past five years.
Born April 8, 1912, in Peoria to John and Sarah Grundy Hargadine, she married Lester Streitmatter in Lacon. He died Oct. 11, 1975. One sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. of Rome; two daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Feurer of Lacon and Mrs. Edward (Susan) Mielke of Peoria; two sisters, Ethel Hargadine of Toulon and Elma Langloss of Henry; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Edelstein Congregational Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Prospect Cemetery near Dunlap. The Rev. Gladys Herzog will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hammitt Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.

She was a housekeeper for John Kruger for 56 years.
She was a member of Saratoga United Methodist Church in rural Camp Grove and its United Methodist Women.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap. The Rev. Mike Robison will officiate. There will be no visitation. Wyoming Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Bradford Rescue Squad in Bradford.

e-mail from Vicki dated 2-13-01  I did locate that she was possibly in Henry when she died but haven't gotten the obit yet.

She died after her sister Ethel I. Hargadine who died in 1997.

Birth date:  13 Aug 1909 is what we had.  No documentation for that date.  I changed it to 17 Oct 1922 because of Social Security information.I also changed the order of children and put her as the fourth child.  See below:
