MRS. PARSONS WAS PAGE COUNTY NATIVE
       Mrs. Lewis (Mae) Parsons, 67, died at 7:45 a.m. this Thursday at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital following an illness which caused her to be bedfast at the Hepburn home for much of the past 10 months.
       Services are to be Saturday, the Rev Lester Greenwood officiating at 1:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home and burial in Clarinda cemetery.  Casket bearers are to be Lee and Darrell Fulton, Ronnie Orme, David and Ernie Miller and Ricky Orme.
       Mrs. Parsons is a native of Page County, born Jan 20, 1907, the daughter of Delford and Hettie Van Alstine Orme, the mother surviving her.  She was baptized in early childhood at North Grove Church.
       She has been a licensed practical nurse at the Mental Health Institute for many years.  She was married to Lewis Parsons on September 13, 1966, previously married to Melvin Scott.
       Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons, Melvin Scott of Pittsburg, Cal., and Darwin Scott of Antioch Ca., six grandsons, two granddaughters and a great grand-daughter.
       Her brothers are Marvin Orme of Guss community, Delford Orme of Northboro, Charles Orme of Hepburn and two sisters, Mrs. Ron (Phyllis) Miller of Hepburn and Mrs. Hal (Arlene) Fulton of Nodaway.  Her sister, Mrs. Velma Lofgren, died April 6.

SERVICES SET FOR MRS. LOFGREN
       Services for Mrs. Ogden (Velma) Lofgren, 62, of Clarinda will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home with Rev. John Clark officiating.  Burial will be in Clarinda cemetery.  Grace Perry will be organist.
       Mrs. Lofgren died Saturday evening while visiting her sister who is a patient at Municipal Hospital.
       She was born Feb 5, 1912, near Hawleyville, the daughter of William Delford and Hettie VanAlstine Orme.  She was married to Ogden Lofgren Dec 30, 1950.  Mr. and Mrs. Lofgren is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Carolyn Christensen of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Kenneth (Eva) Moody of Riverside, Cal. and Mrs. Don  (Joyce) Porter of Maryville, Mo.  There are six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  Three brothers are: Charles Orme of Hepburn, Delford Orme of Northboro, and Marvin Orme of Guss, and three sisters, Mrs. Don (Phyllis) Miller, and Mrs. Lewis (Mae) Parsons of Hepburn and Mrs. Hal (Arlene) Fulton of Nodaway.  Her mother Mrs. Hettie Orme lives at Hepburn.  She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and one sister.
       The family will meet friends 8-9 p.m. this Monday at Walker Funeral Home
