WILLIAM ORME
       William Delford Orme, son of Mary and William Orme, was born in Taylor County, Ia. Feb. 2, 1889, and died March 8, 1956 at University Hospital, Iowa City, at the age of 67 years, one month and five days.
       He joined the north Grade Methodist Church in early boyhood.
       On Jan. 22, 1908, he was united in marriage to Hettie Jane Van Alstine.  To this union 10 children were born, Mae Jordan of California, Amy Buchanan of Omaha, Velma Lofgren of Clarinda, Marvin of Guss, Arlene Fulton of Nodaway, Phyllis Miller of Brooks, Delford Dean of Clarinda and Charles at home.  Two boys, Clifford and Homer died when small.  His parents also preceded him in death.  He leaves three sisters, Vera Ingram, Clarinda, Neva Reynolds of Villisca and Jessie Bramble of Clarinda: 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
       Funeral services were held Sunday March 11 at the Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Clem Rowe in charge.  Mary Brummett sang with Aletha Hutchings at the organ.  Casket bearers were Donnie Miller, Hal Fulton, Merl Christensen, Kenneth Moody, Lewis Van Alstine and Duane Scott.  Interment, was in North Grove Cemetery.
