Name, and place, date of death and place from father's obit Date of Birth from his obit Notes for BENJAMIN FRANKLIN SARVER: Benjamin Sarver being first duly sworn upon his oath says he was enlisted in Company B., 7th Illinois Infantry before February 20th, 1865 that he inlisted in Company B, 7th Illinois Infantry on February 17th, A.D. 1862 in Peoria, Illinois, and the second enlistment was at Rolla, N.C. that his home from 1858 was in Medina Township, Peoria County, Illinois and previous to that from 1850 to 1858 he made his home with his mother in Clayton County, Iowa and in 1858 she moved to Peoria County, Illinois and that the affiant lived with his mother and the latter part of the period from 1858 to 1862 he lived with Syrus Harwood in Peoria County and he lived with Harwood just previous to the first enlistment. My father's name was Christopher Sarver, Mother's name was Eliza Sarver, brothers names were Jacob, and John Hamilton Sarver, my sisters name Sarah Ann and Emma Sarver. Saraver's obituary: Benjamin F. Sarver, son of Alonzo and Eliza Sarver, was born in Ohio August 3, 1841. He died in Chillicothe, Illinois March 14, 1928, being 86 years, 6 months and 11 days of age at the time of his death. He, with his parents and 3 sisters and 2 brothers, all of which are deceased, except one brother, John, of Peoria County, moved to Peoria as a small boy. He enlisted for service in Co. B, 7th Ill. Volunteer Infantry., April 12, 1862 and served until the close of the war on July 29, 1869. He was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Dunbar of Cooperstown, Illinois. To this union was born seven children - 3 girls and 4 boys; Mrs. Miles Vincent of Beardstown, Illinois, Ed Sarver of Detroit Michigan, Mrs. Elzie Robbins of Chillicothe, Mrs. Chas. Mariel of Beardstown and the other 3 having died in infancy; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many other rlatives and friends left to mourn his departure. Interment was in Ripley Cemetery in Lewistown, Illinois. Name, date of birth and place, date of death and place from Descendants of John Swiger Notes for JOHN HAMILTON SARVER: Chillicothe Bulletin - July 17, 1936 John Sarver's Obituary: John Sarver was born in Medina Township, Peoria County, Illinois, January 13, 1844 and passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria, Illinois, July 9 at the age of 92 years 5 months and 25 days. On February 14, 1868 he was married to Cyrene Sturm. To this union eight children were born: 3 sons and 5 daughters; Otis, Levit, Emmitt, Mrs. Tillie Hinds, Mrs. Cora Cutlip, Mrs. Crella Forbes, of Chillicothe, Mrs. Bertha Roese of Bradford and Mrs. Maud Reed of Mossville. He had 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death 16 years ago. Mr. Sarver passed thru all the thrills of early pioneer life, living most of his life in Peoria and Stark Counties with a few years in Kansas. The past few years, he had been unable to get around much, having lost his eye sight some 10 or 12 years ago. On May 26 he fell and broke a leg and was taken to the hospital where he was recovering nicely. Heat prostration Wednesday afternoon caused his demise. His friends are numbered by his acquaintances. He was a true husband and good father and a fine neighbor. Services were held at the Weber Funeral Home Saturday, July 11, at 10 o'clock with interment in the City Cemetery. The Rev. Allen R.
