                   Lois Ruth Gilbert Lamb - Paragould Daily Press - (Sep/27/2004)UNION -- Lois Ruth Gilbert Lamb, 93, of Union died Friday, Sept. 24, at her residence. Formerly of Guion, she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church at Union. Survivors include two daughters, Claudine Thompson of Carrollton, Texas, and Norene Arnold of Salem; two sisters, Cleta Fluke of Gaston, Ore., and Robbie Chain of Terrebonne, Ore.; four grandchildren, Thorpe Thompson, Dr. Griffin Arnold, Cynthia Southard and Medford Carl Arnold; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Medford C. Lamb; her parents, Joseph Ransom and Allie Maud Smith Gilbert; one sister; and four brothers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Cliff Hutchins and Gary Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dr. Griffin Arnold, Matthew Arnold, Bob Southard, Dean Gilbert, Richard Payne and Dow Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will include Charles Taylor, Alfred Grice, Gerald Bryant, Duane Bryant, Dahl Lawyer, Woodrow Hodges and Dr. Carl B. Arnold. Memorials may be made to the Mount Zion Baptist Church building fund.
