Notes:

                   This family is found on the 1860 Census, with Jacob Jaeger living next door to John, with a daughter Elizabeth, and also living next door is Christian Jaeger.  John, Jacob, and Elizabeth all list their birth places as Bavaria, Christian lists it as Hanover.  It is likely that John and Elizabeth are siblings and Jacob their father.  This is supported by a biography of Christian Oncken, husband of Elizabeth, which states that she is the daughter of Jacob.  The IGI has some additional information which does positively associate Elizabeth, John, and Jacob, and gives a mother's name of Chatarine (possibly Catharine, misspelled). This information may have come from Kenneth A Jaeger.  His email address is kaj@ktc.com, and his address is 384 Pike's Peak Road, Kerrville, TX 78028-9654.  He has solicited relatives for help on his webpage, and verifies some of this information.   Most ordinances for this family group were performed in the new Nauvoo temple.

                   Immigrated in 1833 according to 1900 Census, Naturalized.  Listed as Jacob on the ship manifest.  This is not uncommon, most German males were named Johann, with a personal name as the middle name.  Thus, this might be Johann Jacob Jaeger, and in America, because his father was named Jacob, he went by Johann or John.  Further research is needed.
